What We Do

The IzTech Academic Writing Center supports faculty and graduate students in their journey to contribute meaningful research and innovations to the international academic community. We help enhance the quality and clarity of scholarly writing in English through one-on-one sessions and offer workshops to empower academicians to grow as writers and researchers.

Our Philosophy

We believe that through a combination of intensive research, unique perspectives, and coherent English writing, our students and faculty have the ability to advance the development of technology and information in their fields. Familiarity with scholarly writing conventions and effective communication tools help researchers convey the value of their projects to a wider community, initiating international recognition and collaboration and facilitating innovation. Good writing allows members of our university to reach out to other academic, public and industrial communities to initiate significant social and sustainable development.

The Academic Writing Center aims to be a supportive resource that encourages faculty and graduate students to develop their English writing ability and research skills. Rather than sanctioning the enforcement of all-encompassing regulations, we embrace creativity and diversity with an awareness that departmental and individual differences engender variety that enriches the academic community. We therefore aim to provide tools and flexible feedback to researchers so that they can gain confidence to improve their scholarly writing skills according to their own fields of research in order to advance their careers.
